What we do

Day in, day out, we’re laying drives across Cheshire, from the lanes around Bunbury to the villages near Beeston and out towards Kelsall. Block paving, resin bound, tarmac, pattern imprinted concrete, gravel. We work with the lot.

We’ve been doing this long enough to know what the ground here throws at you. Wet winters, clay subsoils, poor drainage under old drives. That’s why we always assess what’s underneath before we lay anything on top.

Installation and surfacing

We install new driveways from scratch and resurface existing ones. The materials we work with most:

• Block paving, including reclaimed and tumbled finishes
• Resin bound gravel, fully SuDS-compliant
• Tarmac and macadam, new or resurfaced
• Pattern imprinted concrete
• Loose and bound gravel

Same goes for patios and pathways. We’ll lay a patio in porcelain, natural stone, concrete flags or block paving, whatever suits the house and the budget.

Drainage, kerbing and groundworks

Proper groundworks make the difference between a drive that lasts and one that sinks inside five years. We dig out and prepare the sub-base properly every time. On a recent job near Tarporley, we had to lay a soakaway under the new drive before we could even think about surfacing. That’s just part of the work, not an add-on.

We fit kerbs and edging to finish the job clean. We also handle crack repairs, pothole filling, and sealing on existing surfaces.

Landscaping and garden works

Beyond the hard surfaces, we take on:

• Walling, retaining walls and garden walls in brick or stone
• Fencing installation and replacement
• Lawn laying, turf or seed
• Pathways through gardens (it’s amazing how much difference a good path makes, honestly)
