What we do

From the first bracket to the last downpipe connection, guttering is the trade I’ve built everything around. Based in Rathmines, we cover D6, D6W and the surrounding southside postcodes, roughly out as far as Rathgar and down towards Harold’s Cross, taking in the streets around Kildare Place School as a southern boundary marker.

The work itself

Over the years, the jobs that come up most are full gutter replacements in uPVC, seamless aluminium runs on period houses, and cast iron restoration where the original profile is worth keeping. We also carry out soffit and fascia replacement regularly, and it’s here we often turn up the same problem: timber fascia where the softwood has rotted back behind the board, sometimes right to the rafter feet. That needs proper remediation before any new board goes on, we don’t just cover it over.

The profiles and materials we work across include:

• Half-round, ogee and square-line gutter profiles
• uPVC fascia and soffit boards
• Leaf guards and gutter mesh
• Hopper heads and rainwater outlets
• Gutter bracket re-spacing to restore correct fall
• Rainwater diverters and water butt connections

The bracket spacing on older installations is worth mentioning. A gutter sitting out of level by even four or five millimetres across a six-metre run will pool water at the low end, and that standing water is usually what causes the joint failures people ring us about.

Payment terms

• A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking
• The balance is due on completion of the work
• We accept cash, bank transfer and all major debit and credit cards
