Wet winters crack it. That’s just the truth. Round here in Cheshire, ground moves, mortar takes a hiding, and structures that weren’t done right the first time start showing it fast. We’ve been putting that right for years across this part of the county.

We work out of Bridge Trafford, and we cover a fair stretch. Chester itself, the villages out towards Mickle Trafford, Barrow and down the A56 corridor. (A new garage job we did last spring near Mickle Trafford ended up needing full underpinning on one corner. Soft ground. Nobody had flagged it. We sorted it.) That kind of thing happens more than people expect.

How we work

No padding on quotes. We price what the job needs, materials and labour, straight. If the spec changes on site, we talk about it before the cost moves. It’s not complicated.

We use concrete block, engineering brick, sand-cement render, cavity insulation board. The right material for the job. However it ends up specified on the drawings, we can build it.

Good building is mostly just paying attention. It rarely gets celebrated.
