Wexford Insulation

How it started

A neighbour’s attic, a cold January, a problem nobody had properly fixed.

That was years ago now. Since then, we’ve worked on homes right across the county, from houses near Johnstown Castle to terraced rows off the Ferrycarrig Road, and out as far as Curracloe where the wind comes in off the dunes and really makes itself known indoors.

What we do

We cover the full picture when it comes to keeping heat inside a home. Here’s where we spend most of our time:

  • Attic and loft insulation, including attic insulation top-ups where existing material has settled or thinned out
  • External wall insulation applied to the outer leaf of the building
  • Cavity wall insulation and pumped bead systems
  • Spray foam insulation, both open cell and closed cell depending on the roof or void
  • Internal dry lining and underfloor insulation
  • Pipe lagging, hot water tank wrapping, and draught proofing
  • SEAI grant support and BER improvement work

How we work

We take damp and condensation seriously (more seriously than some, I’ll be honest) because insulation installed into a damp wall just stores up problems for later. We assess the building before we price anything.

I’m not going to claim we’re the flashiest outfit around, but we turn up when we say we will and we explain everything before we start. That matters more than most people realise.

Every home is a bit different. An attic top-up in a 1970s semi is a different job to spray foam in a converted farmhouse roof, and we treat them that way. We don’t use the same solution twice just because it’s easier.
