Kilkenny Insulation
Kilkenny Insulation
Cold houses. That is the problem.
We see it every week across County Kilkenny. Heating bills climbing, rooms that never warm up properly, condensation streaking down bedroom walls. Most of the time the fix is straightforward once you know where the heat is actually escaping from.
We cover the full range of insulation work, from the fabric of the building right through to the smaller jobs people overlook.
- External wall insulation, including finishes in silicone render for a clean, weatherproof result
- Cavity wall insulation and pumped bead cavity fill
- Attic, loft, and rafter insulation
- Internal wall insulation and dry lining
- Open cell and closed cell spray foam insulation
- Underfloor and floor insulation
- Garage and outbuilding insulation
- Pipe lagging and hot water tank insulation
- Draught proofing and air sealing
What we actually do on site
External wall insulation finished with silicone render is one of the most effective upgrades we fit. It seals the outer leaf completely and the render colour holds well without painting. But we spend just as much time on attic jobs and cavity fills, because that is where a lot of older Kilkenny homes are losing the most heat.
Spray foam gets asked about a lot. We use both open cell and closed cell systems depending on the application. Roof slopes, confined spaces under floors, awkward outbuildings, these suit spray foam well where board or batt insulation simply would not fit neatly.
SEAI grants and BER improvement
We help customers work through SEAI grant applications. It is not complicated once you have done it a few times, and the grant can take a serious chunk off the cost. A better BER rating matters if you are selling or renting, and it makes a real difference to running costs either way.
We work across Kilkenny city, out towards Thomastown, and up as far as Castlecomer. If you are dealing with a cold, damp, or expensive-to-heat building anywhere in County Kilkenny, call us on 087 391 1659 or Browse Kilkenny Insulation’s site.
