Cast iron versus aluminium

Older properties near the Ninth Lock Road still have cast iron guttering, and some owners want to keep that look. We can restore and re-seal cast iron runs where it makes sense. However, if the metal is too far gone, a properly matched aluminium profile does the same job for a fraction of the long-term maintenance. On fascia capping, aluminium colour matching is something we take seriously (get it wrong and a good restoration job looks cheap from the kerb).

Fascias and soffits

Rotten timber fascia is the thing we find behind half the gutter problems we get called to. We replace with uPVC boards and finish the roofline cleanly. No exposed fixings, no gaps for birds to get into.

Honest about our limits

We are not a massive outfit. It is myself and a small crew. That means you get the same standard on a one-bed terrace off the Fonthill Road as you do on a bigger job.
