How it started, and why we’re still here

A neighbour once asked me to “just tidy up” a crumbling driveway on Caldy Road. That job taught me more about what people actually want than any course ever could. They want it done properly, and they want someone they can trust on their doorstep.

We’ve been working across West Kirby and the surrounding area for years now. Hoylake, Heswall, Thurstaston, we know these streets and the soil conditions underneath them well.

The details that actually matter

On block paving jobs, I always recommend finishing with a contrasting border course in a second block colour. It sounds like a small thing, but it frames the whole driveway and gives it a proper finished look rather than just stopping abruptly at the edge.

Drainage is something I take seriously too (more so than some contractors I’ve come across, if I’m honest). Getting water away from the surface correctly is half the battle in keeping a driveway looking good after a wet Wirral winter.
