A bit about how we work

A customer once told me her old patio had been “grand” for twenty years. It hadn’t, really, but I knew what she meant. There’s a comfort in leaving things as they are, until you finally pull up that cracked slab and see what a proper job looks like underneath.

We’ve been doing that proper job here in Blackrock for long enough now that most of our enquiries come from neighbours of people we’ve already worked for. That still means more to me than any advert (I’m not exactly known for blowing my own trumpet).

What we take on

The bulk of our work sits across patios, paving, fencing, and lawns. Here’s a quick sense of what that covers:

• Indian sandstone and limestone patio installations
• Porcelain paving and granite slabbing
• Garden paving and pathways
• New lawn turfing
• Timber garden fencing and bricklaying

We also integrate low-voltage lighting into steps, which sounds like a small detail but genuinely transforms how a garden feels on a dark November evening in D04.

How we approach the work

Porcelain in particular wants a solid, well-prepared base, because it will show up any shortcuts within a season. We take the groundwork seriously before a single slab goes down. Drainage, levels, the lot.

We cover Blackrock and the surrounding south Dublin postcodes, and we’re familiar with the kind of tight rear gardens you find near the Booterstown end, where access and kerb-to-boundary distances make things interesting. However, we’ve yet to meet a garden that couldn’t be improved with the right materials and a bit of patience.
