What kind of work do you take on?

Extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions, new builds, groundworks, foundations, structural alterations, brickwork, plastering and rendering. One job I always enjoy is building a brick porch at the front door. It makes a real difference to how a house looks and feels straight away.

Now, people sometimes ask me about roofing. I want to be straight with you. That’s a specialist trade, and a proper roofing contractor handles things like:

• Roof repairs and replacements
• Flat roof installations
• Fascias, soffits and guttering
• Leadwork and flashing
• Chimney pointing and repointing

We don’t cover those. Honest answer. I’d rather point you to the right person than take on work outside our scope.

Are you local, or just saying you are?

Genuinely local. Born and bred. I know the housing stock around here, the older brick terraces, the render that goes soft in damp weather, sure it’d nearly put years on you sorting some of it out. However, that’s exactly the kind of thing we’re well used to handling.
