Converting garages is something we get called in for regularly. A lot of homeowners are sitting on usable square footage they are not getting anything from. We handle the full structural conversion, insulation, and finishing, not just a cosmetic fit-out.

How we work

We use cavity wall construction to current Building Regulations where new external walls are involved. That matters, it affects thermal performance and your long-term running costs. We are not cutting corners on the details that the next owner will be glad you got right.

Plastering and rendering varies a lot depending on the substrate. Sand and cement scratch coats on blockwork, finish plaster on board, silicone render on external elevations. You get the right system for the wall, not whatever is easiest.

Older properties around WA6 often throw up surprises once work begins. Lintels that have moved, damp that has got into the masonry, foundations that were never meant to carry an extra storey. We have seen it often enough to expect it and plan around it.
