Clontarf Patios

Clontarf Patios

We’ve been laying patios and building outdoor spaces around Dublin for years. Getting the groundwork right matters more than anything else you’ll do.

What We Do

Every job starts the same way. We strip back to solid ground, then build it up properly:

  • Sandstone and natural stone patios
  • Porcelain paving and concrete flagstones
  • Block paving driveways and paths
  • Wooden fencing and garden walls
  • Roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns

The materials change but the method doesn’t. Base preparation and compaction in layers keeps everything level for decades.

How We Build

We walk through every build the same way:

  • 1. Excavate to the right depth, usually 200mm minimum for patios
  • 2. Lay hardcore base, compact it properly, then add sand bed
  • 3. Set the slabs or pavers, point the joints, job done

No shortcuts. Dublin clay shifts if you don’t compact it right. We’ve seen too many patios sink because someone rushed the base.

Materials We Work With

We source everything locally where we can:

  • Irish sandstone and limestone
  • Porcelain tiles in all sizes
  • Concrete flags and block pavers
  • Pressure-treated timber fencing
  • Quality turf from local suppliers

Porcelain’s getting popular now. Doesn’t stain like natural stone and the colour stays put. We’ve laid miles of it.

Our Patch

We cover Clontarf and the northside. Know the area well. Drainage matters here with the clay soil. Every job gets proper falls built in.

The wooden fencing side keeps us busy too. Replacing old panels, putting up new runs. We use concrete posts where the ground’s soft.

Roll-on turf goes down fast when the weather’s right. Artificial grass takes longer but it’s worth doing properly. The base work’s just as important as any patio.

Been doing this long enough to know what works in Dublin conditions. Call us on 01 697 1796 if you’re in Clontarf, Dublin and need outdoor work done right. Find out more at Clontarf Patios.
